DATEV is the largest IT service provider for tax advisors, auditors, and lawyers in Germany. Since 2025, a SCS-compliant IaaS cloud platform based on YAOOK has been running in production, with all IT services set to be gradually migrated to the platform over the coming years.
The goal is to orchestrate everything in a cloud-native manner — from bare-metal orchestration and the IaaS cloud platform all the way up to the applications. This is one of the reasons DATEV chose uMetal and uStack from UhuruTec, which are built around YAOOK and other open-source tools.
