Dr Kai Martius has been Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at secunet since 2015.
Before joining secunet in 1999, he studied electrical engineering at Dresden University of Technology, where he completed his PhD in the field of internet security protocols. After holding various positions in the development of secunet’s core products, he headed the High Security / Public Sector Division between 2007 and 2015. Dr Martius played a decisive role in the development of SINA and also has extensive experience in the design, implementation and application of security products within the public sector. Recently, the impact of new technologies such as SDN, NFV and cloud technologies on secunet’s product strategy has become a key focus of the technology strategy for which he is responsible in his role as CTO. He has been a member of secunet’s Board of Management since June 2019.
