Building a scalable alternative to Hyperscale Clouds

The ScaleUp team has engineered an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud in Germany, leveraging the power of the Open Compute Platform (OCP) and open source technology. The setup was also designed with sustainability in mind and leverages the Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS), an open source project that provides a standardized cloud platform using Open Stack and Kubernetes, ensuring compliance with European data standards and preventing user lock-in.

In our presentation, we will showcase the steps how we are building and operating multiple regions of this IaaS infrastructure. We will also discuss how this approach can be a scalable alternative to hyperscale clouds and also how it can be used as a blueprint for private cloud deployments.
