The ALASCA Tech-Talks provide a platform to discuss projects that have the potential to improve the digital sovereignty of digital infrastructures and cloud services, as well as use cases that rely on these digital sovereign infrastructures and services.

What can you expect in the upcoming Tech-Talk?
In October, you can look forward to the following speaker:
"A virtual environment to develop baremetal provisioning"
Matthias Haag (CEO and founder of UhuruTec AG)
When we started to develop a fully automated baremetal provisioning for Kubernetes on baremetal, we lacked an adequate virtual environment to make development possible for mutliple developers without buying a lot of costy hardware. To solve this issue we created a virtual environment based on Linux KVM machines with a virtual IPMI and Redfish interface and with virtual SONiC network switches including virtual cables. The talk will present how we implemented the environment and show it in action.
