From Sovereign Cloud to Sovereign Workplace: Automated Linux Workplace Based on SCS

The Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS) can provide far more than virtual machines and Kubernetes: it can serve as the foundation for a fully sovereign Linux workplace.

This session demonstrates how central services such as Keycloak, LDAP, OpenBao, PostgreSQL, OpenVPN, and a user portal can be deployed and operated automatically on SCS and combined into an integrated workplace platform.

Building on this foundation, we will show how Linux desktops can be delivered as VDI from SCS-based infrastructure. Foreman connects infrastructure automation, lifecycle management, provisioning, and desktop deployment into a unified workflow.

The session focuses on the architecture, automation, and practical operational aspects of an open and sovereign workplace platform — from identity and secrets management to secure connectivity and virtual desktops.
