Beyond the Horizon

uView is a modern and modular user interface for OpenStack environments, designed to provide a clear and consistent user experience.

Unlike traditional web interfaces that closely follow existing command-line structures, uView focuses on intuitive workflows, transparent navigation, and a context-driven presentation of functionality. This approach is intended to make OpenStack more accessible, particularly for newcomers.

Visual topology representations and small interactive elements help make processes more tangible and support users in understanding the underlying cloud infrastructure.

The goal is to provide a clear overview of common tasks related to provisioning, management, and monitoring, while offering an easy entry point for both new and experienced users.

In this talk, we will provide insights into the initial situation, the motivation behind uView, and the direction in which the interface is intended to evolve in the future.
