Nomination for the Saxon Digital Prize 2024

Saxon Digital Award | Krake nominated in the "Open Source" category

Krake is out of the bag:

With our open source project Krake we are nominated for this year's Saxon Digital Award in the category "Open Source". We are very pleased about this nomination.

With the Saxon Digital Prize the Free State of Saxony would like to draw attention to the numerous local players with their diverse innovations and solutions in the course of digitalisation and honour outstanding contributions. In addition to the "Open Source" category, the Saxon Digital Prize is also awarded in the categories "Business" and "Society". This year, it will be awarded to applications that focus on digital solutions in the field of raw materials and energy.

With Krake, we are submitting a project that fits like a glove. As a reminder: Krake is an open source tool that automatically manages containerised workloads on distributed and heterogeneous cloud platforms. Krake allows cloud users to distribute their virtual workloads - in addition to typical metrics such as hardware, latency and costs - primarily based on energy efficiency-related criteria.

A public vote will now run until 30 April 2024 to decide the final placement of Krake.

So that we can bring the Saxon Digital Award 2024 in the Open Source category to ALASCA, we ask you to support us and Krake and vote in our favour.
