Dear ALASCA community,
the ALASCA Summit 2024 in Dresden was a great success! Under the motto “Beyond Boundaries: Shaping Europe’s Digital Future Together,” tech enthusiasts gathered at the Deutsche Hygiene Museum to exchange ideas on open-source technologies and cloud infrastructures, all while promoting digital sovereignty. Highlights included inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and networking with the community.
With this strong foundation, we're heading into the next round in 2025! Save the date – November 3rd and 4th, 2025 – the ALASCA Summit 2025 will once again take place at the Deutsche Hygiene Museum in Dresden .

This year’s summit focuses on Europe’s digital sovereignty. In light of geopolitical tensions and the dominance of foreign tech giants, it is crucial for Europe to regain control over its digital infrastructure and data. Digital sovereignty is the foundation for innovation, security, and economic independence – both at the national and European level.
In 2025, the focus is not only on new technologies, but also on protecting European values such as data privacy, data sovereignty, and open standards. Only with a sovereign digital infrastructure can Europe thrive as an independent player in the digital era.
